Happy New Year ... even though it's already the 12th, it still is early in the year... isn't it?
I just read the blog from the Head Honcho at Granite Hills Thoroughbreds and saw this photo of Tropic Lightening (the sire of my Thoroughbred mare Tropic Pass) He is so beautiful isn't he? Looks like the snow isn't bothering him at all!!
My mare is a darker color than he is but she has his spirit and his wonderful soft eyes.
Well my mom made it through her surgery just fine. And we enjoyed really nice holidays this year. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's just flew by.
Don and I went to the Fiesta Bowl on January 5th and were disappointed to watch Ohio State University lose yet another bowl game. This time to Texas. But it was a good game and a well deserved win by Texas.
The Arizona Cardinals have surprised a few people by winning 2 of their play off games. Next week they play the Philadelphia Eagles and we wish them well. Would be awesome to see them in the Super Bowl.
This past Saturday I went riding on Zac with my friends Jason and Shaina. We rode nearly 20 miles. It's beautiful riding country here but I was sure tired when we finally came back home. I'm pretty sure Zac was a tired boy too!!
We finally got our barn done and our horses seem happy about that!!
